Girls Hit Your Hallelujahs!

26 Feb

Bruno mars & mark ronson

Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson
“cause uptown funk gon give it to you….”

One of my favorite videos & songs right now.

Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars in “Uptown Funk.”

Even though it looks like it’s Bruno Mars featuring Mark Ronson. I guess.
It’s jukin’ though and looking at Bruno Mars you can’t help but dance and rock with it.

Just when all the music seems like it’s the same, you have real artists & musicians to give you something new and original with a musical message that all is not lost.

Bruno Mars is a great entertainer, I love watching him.

Almost There!

24 Feb

The long journey is never for nothing. When you travel a long ways through difficult times in your life, the ending is never the end. But the beginning to the life you were designed, created and made to live.

You’re stronger, you’re tougher and wiser when you reach your destiny. The difference from then and now, is when you reach out this time, you’ll touch the very thing you’ve been waiting for. And……so much more than could have ever been imagined. 🙂

I’m almost there. I haven’t been alone on my journey, though I could have never foreseen or imagined the special and amazing angel God would send to walk right beside every step of the way. We’re almost there Caleb. You’ll see what I mean when I’ve been telling you that God has not brought you all this way to not bless you. He has heard you. Even YOU!

“I’m almost there”

Are you?

Get there. What are you waiting for?

Reach for the skies, I guarantee you, someone’s up there!

“A Prayer of Surrender”:

Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all Your creatures – I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, For you are my Father. Amen.

22 Feb

I love apps and discovering there is just about, an app for everything. But which one to download?
All of them if necessary!

Some of my favorite things are diaries, wedding-planning (which may lead to a wedding planning career and/or being well prepared when it’s time for my big day and planning my own wedding. (If that day ever comes…. I’m a patient girl though). Event planning has always been something I’m great at and that I dazzle at the idea of. The list goes on, home designing, working out, bible reading…..Oh yes! Let us not be deceived , she loves the Lord. And the Lord loves Him some her. (She, as in me. lol) It’s very true! I believe for every aspect of my life that there is an app available to make my time staring into a tablet screen more worthwhile to my real life. Plus you get more out of your devices that way. I think so.

These are some of my favorite apps that I use on my tablet. What apps do you have that you would like to share?

Women’s Diary: An app that helps you to keep track of your monthly as well if your interested, your most fertile times of the month for conception. I’m not sure how accurate it may be for the latter, because I don’t currently use it for that purpose. However I love calendars and thought it would be cute and girly to have one on hand just for my period.

The Most Consistency Award Goes To…… My Son Caleb! <3

21 Feb

achievement award 1

I’m so proud of my son every day that I can never say it enough.

“Parents need to fill a child’s bucket of self-esteem so high that the rest of the world can’t poke enough holes in it to drain it dry.”

For the second year in a row, at a different school, he has won the spelling bee. He came in first place for his primary spelling bee this year and placed 4th within the entire school. Amongst the 4th, 5th & 6th graders.

I always knew that would be one of his strengths since I started spelling with him so early on while he was home-schooled. Some of his very first spelling words were: GOD, DOG, BALL, CAR, MOM. I started before he was 1-year old. Everyday we would wake up to breakfast, learning, praying & exercising. I always dreamed of being a hard-working stay-at-home mom with my child. And it’s so wonderful to see that it is a reward that continues to grow.

Not only is he a great speller, but he has also gotten straight A’s on his report cards since he started school. Even now being enrolled in an accelerated program. At the beginning of the school year he tried out for the basketball team and made it!

He got his first basketball hoop for his 1st birthday. Like teaching him to go to the bathroom boy-style, I taught him to play basketball. His coaches tells me about how strong he is and can shoot the ball from half-court. That’s no surprise to me, because he sees me shooting the ball from the middle of the basketball courts or from far away in his grandmother’s backyard, so he tries to as well. He’s getting better with his lay-ups too and understands why he has to score those points. Like he did at his last game!

I enjoy watching my son in his basketball practices and games. Especially at the beginning before basketball practice begins when I go out on the floor and shoot the ball around with him. He thinks it’s so cool that his mom can play basketball and all the points I score from behind the 3-point line. While his teammates watch in amazement as well. I’m just here to support my Caleb and help him to continue believing that he can do ANYTHING!

The most amazing part about my son, is that I know and acknowledge each and everything that he has dealt with in his life so far, and the obstacles that he’s had to face being a baby. The heartache that he still faces today. But he continues to be strong and excel in all that he sets his mind to do. And that my darling little boy is MIGHTY. A strength from God that I haven’t seen in some grown men. I’m so proud of my son Caleb.

Continue to keep up the good work!

If God is for you, who can be against you? No one.

Cars, cars, cars! (The Chicago Auto Show)

18 Feb

I went to the Auto Show it’s opening weekend, Valentine’s Day weekend with my son. We had a blast! It was if we were car shopping for ourselves for real. My son has always loved cars since he was a baby and as he gets older I can see the gleam in his eyes that says “it’s for real!” Thanks to Lightning McQueen! The star car of the Disney/Pixar movie “Cars.”
He was running from car to car just to get in the driver seat so he could drive us to our next location. As we were playing, while in the midst of thousands of other people, eventually others got involved asking him “where was he driving to?” They wanted to get in the back seat of the cars, so that they could come along for the ride with us. It was a lot of fun. There is nothing more priceless than looking into a little boys face and seeing true excitement. As I sat in the passenger seat of cars he was “driving” in, I assured him one day this would all be a reality. Something I’m in no rush to get too, because I enjoy my little boy as a little boy, but something to look forward to.

We saw the Porsche’s, Audi, Maserati’s, Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Jaguars, and Range Rovers. All the cars that we really want. Plus some that would look good just to have. By the time we had finished with those we realized that there was no reason for us to look at the other cars. My son even got to see a race car.

My favorites were the Range Rover HSE 2015 & the F-Type red convertible Jaguar. It is the perfect two-seater for me.
