Worry

21 May

Going through tragic, heartbreaking and difficult times, worry can easily consume you.

Having observed my own behavior dealing in situations that bring about great uncertainty, not knowing what and how a situation will be worked out, I tell myself that I don’t want to worry in those situations where I would worry.

Each time I’ve been faced with unexpected, disappointing and devastating times in my life, roundabout, unexpectedly God has made a way for me.

Ever since my son was born I have been feeling like I along with my son, that we have been constantly moving. Even though we aren’t always physically moving or moving from where we currently reside.

It has been to me like we are on a journey. Everyday being pushed through this journey to get to where I know we should be. Even if I decided we wouldn’t continue, it’s like we  have no choice. It’s the only way through it.

Remembering God’s track record in my life, I have learned that worry is nothing but a waste of time. Where I can be praying & praising, worshipping & working into a new season, my circumstances tell me to do nothing but worry.

Not only is worry a waste of valuable time, it causes stress and is a waste of something even more valuable, your health. The truest wealth in this life. Being healthy.

I try my best to let my God know that I never take my health for granted. By thanking Him constantly for it, and my son’s health. Being proactive in a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me, starting at an early age. Even if I’m not where I need to be in certain areas, I know that exercise is important for us. So I make sure that it is a constant factor in our lives.

Worry is just a waste of time!

Sometimes it takes intentional effort to keep moving even though you have things going on that you could easily give in to fear and doubt to.

Worry is never the answer!

As much as God gives to me, I love interacting with Him. Pursuing Him back. Because I know that He’s always been there before, I told myself I would cling to Him & my faith when I am tested again.

And that’s where I am right now.

When things are out of your control, tangled up so much that you can’t begin to figure it out and EVERY part of your life needs a miracle and a blessing, there is nothing left to do but trust in God.

If you are worried about it, worry will just occupy time you could be preparing, praying & praising. Don’t worry!

Just praise Him in the hallway.
